Born in Putat Tanggulangin on 15 May 1960, A. Dzo''ul MIlal is now a professor in ELT at The English Department, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. His teaching career started in 1987 after gaining his Doctorandus degree in English education from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya. He got his Master''s degree in English education from IKIP Negeri Malang (now UM) and his doctorate degree from the Language and Literature Education Department, Post Graduate Program, UNESA Surabaya in 2010.
